Wig-wag Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

May be the last active guard of it's type in California.

This mechanical device is on the extinction list, but locals want it preserved in place.

When you walk down the sidewalk to the wig-wag, remember, locomotives run about 100 tons a piece. Fortunately, the device will give you a heads up. The microcache is a magnetic micro, located a block away in Point Richmond.

There are several restaurants and hidden cafes nearby, FYI.

This is near waypoint GCA38E, also subject to extinction. If you're here on the weekend, GSMRM Model Trains may be open, through the tunnel at waypoint GCAD42.

PS: Thanks to Team Alamo for conducting the check on my coords. This cache was originally intended as a virt on 11/7/2002.
