PLEASE MAKE SURE THE BOX LID IS CLIPPED ON CORRECTLY BEFORE REPLACING THE CACHE OTHERWISE IT GETS WET!
Look into my eyes
The cache is located in Little Budworth Country Park. There is a car park which is open from the beginning of May until the end of September from 9am until 8pm. At other times it shuts at 5pm.
The park is now a nice mixture of heath and woods. Before the war, grazing ensured it was entirely heath, but since then silver birches have taken over large areas. Cheshire Countryside leases and manages the land and they have plans to open up more of the park to heath.
During the war, soldiers were stationed at Oulton Park and carried out exercises on the heath. Some of the trenches they dug can still be found in the woods.
Many thanks to the local ranger Lee Thompson for the historical information and for permission to place the cache.
The cache is in a Tupperware box inside a camo bag.
