This is a Scuba Diving cache near Jorsted Creek, on Hood Canal. Parking is off the side of the road slightly north of the cache.
This cache is located in a small boat wreck on the bottom of Hood Canal. You will need to dive for this cache. It is located in about 15-25 feet of water, depending on the tide.
The wreck is very close to the northern-most set of pilings. Descend there, and you should see the boat. After finding the cache, do a dive on the reefs nearby. For those of you who have never dove Jorsted Creek, the reefs lie between 15 and 70+ feet near, and slightly north of where the trail from the parking area leads to the beach. The rock wall you see where the trail comes out continues in bits and pieces below the surface.
This site usually does not have heavy currents, but depth can be a factor. Be careful, as always.
There is no log book in the cache. To log it, send a photo of yourself with the cache, if possible. If you can't take a photo, drop me an e-mail with a description of what you saw on your dive.
Only leave small trade items that will be OK being submerged for long periods of time. Initially in the cache are several things from my "Save-A-Dive" kit, and a special surprise for the FTF. Some of the objects inside may be buoyant. Be careful they don't shoot to the surface on you, and don't follow them if they do. ...
