The Musandam Peninsula is a province of Oman jutting out into the Strait of Hormuz at the entrance to the Persian Gulf. The Musandam is separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates. To get to the cache you will need a 4 wheel drive and will probably have to stay in Khasab overnight.
The cache is in a plastic pot with a yellow lid. To get to the area of the cache you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Parking is available close to the cache. To get to the actual cache you are going to have a bit of a scramble. Take Care! As you are scrambling around look out for fossilized wave ripples on the tilted limestone beds. These were formed in a shallow sea more than 150 million years ago!
