Der Feldmochinger See befindet sich im Stadtteil Feldmoching und ist mit einer Fläche von 16,5 Hektar und einer max. Tiefe von 5,9 m der drittgrößte See im Münchner Stadtgebiet. Er entstand durch Kiesentnahme in den dreißiger Jahren. Im Südosten befindet sich ein eingezäuntes Biotop mit Beobachtungsturm, im Südwesten der FKK-Bereich. Der See wird aus drei Quellen gespeist und fließt in den Kalterbach ab, was zu einer guten Wasserqualität und durchschnittlichen Wassertemperaturen zwischen 18°C und 23°C führt. Der Spazierweg um den See ist genau 2,25 Kilometer lang.
Dieser Cache sollte nur in den Sommermonaten gesucht werden.
Drei Dinge, die man außer dem GPS-Gerät auf die Suche unbedingt mitnehmen sollte sind Badehose, Handtuch und Taucherbrille.
Bitte beachten:
- Am Cache befindet sich ein Haken, mit dem er an einer Seilschlaufe eingehängt ist. Cache nur aushängen, bitte keine Seilknoten lösen.
- Vor dem Öffnen des Caches diesen gut abtrocknen und danach wieder gut verschließen um Wasser im Behälter zu vermeiden.
- Im Feldmochinger See besteht Gerätetauchverbot. Also Luft anhalten...

The lake Feldmoching covers an area of 16.5 hectares and a max. depth of 5.9 m. It is the third largest lake in the Munich city area. It was created by gravel extraction in the thirties. In the southeast there is a fenced-in habitat with observation tower. In the southwest there is a naturist area. The lake is fed from three sources and flows in the Kalterbach, leading to a good water quality and water temperatures average between 18°C and 23°C. The walk around the lake is just 2.25 km long.
This cache should only be searched during the summer months.
Three things you should take with you for searching beside your GPS device are
swimwear, towel and mask.
Please notice:
- At the cache there is a hook connected to a rope loop. Please only unhook. Don’t loose any knots.
- Before opening please dry the cache container. After that lock properly again to avoid water entering the container.
- No scuba diving is allowed in the lake Feldmoching.
