Introduction:
P:Esta cache levá-lo-á a percorrer parte do trilho da Rota do Contrabando que decorreu no passado dia 15. Essa caminhada, que já vai na sua 9ª edição e evoca a actividade de contrabando na zona da Raia, saíu de Montalvão e percorreu alguns dos trilhos usados pelos contrabandistas, tanto em Portugal, como na travessia do Rio Sever como, depois, em Espanha a caminho de Cedillo.
Esta cache foi colocada com o conhecimento da Inijovem, entidade que promove actividades outdoor no Concelho de Nisa, incluindo as 'Rota do Contrabando".
E:This cache will take you to walk by the trails of the 'Rota do Contrabando', an event which occurred in the last March, 15th. This hike, which is the 9th edition and evokes the contraband activity in the border area, started in Montalvão and went through several trails used by the contraband in Portugal, crossing the Sever River and then, in Spain, in direction to Cedillo.

The hunt
P:Dirija-se até à povoação de Montalvão e, a partir daqui, tem 4 opções para desfrutar esta cache;
· Se gosta de andar muito, deixa o veículo em Montalvão e caminha o PR7-Entre Azenhas e, durante o mesmo, faz um desvio para procurar a cache e ir conhecer o local onde os contrabandistas atravessavam o Rio Sever e talvez fazer um pic-nic na Fonte da Bica. São 9 kms com o desnível de 200m a ter que ser vencido 4 vezes; duas a descer e duas a subir (dificuldade terreno sobe para 3,5 ou 4). Foi o que fiz na colocação da cache. Com este percurso desfruta da cache muito mais intensamente porque caminhará ao longo da margem do Rio Sever durante vários kms e encontrará vários locais de pesca de rio. · Se gosta de andar um pouco, estaciona em Montalvão e caminha directamente para a cache, conhecer o local onde os contrabandistas atravessavam o Rio Sever e talvez fazer um pic-nic na Fonte da Bica. Waypoints: PARK1-> PARK2-> PARK3-> Cache-> HARBOU. 5 kms total e um desnível de 200m.
· Se tem um TT, aproveita o veículo e vai até 150m da cache. Depois caminha até ao local para procurar a cache ir conhecer o local onde os contrabandistas atravessavam o Rio Sever e talvez fazer um pic-nic na Fonte da Bica.

· Se tem um carro não TT, aproveita o veículo e vai até cerca de 860m da cache, conhecer o local onde os contrabandistas atravessavam o Rio Sever e talvez fazer um pic-nic na Fonte da Bica. Waypoints: PARK1-> PARK2(park here)-> PARK3-> Cache-> HARBOU
E:Drive to Montalvão and then you have 4 options;
· If you like to walk a lot, park your car and walk the PR7-Entre Azenhas and, in the middle, make a detour to search the cache and get to know the spot where the contraband cross the Sever River and maybe you can rest and make a pic-nic in the Fonte da Bica, water source. It is a hike of 9 kms with the difference in altitude of about 200m to be walked 4 times; two in the descending way and two in the ascending way (terrain difficulty raises to 3,5 or 4). It was what i walked when i placed this cache. With this hike you'll enjoy this cache in a much intense way because you'll walk side by side the Sever River during several kms and you'll find some fishing spots. · If you like to walk for a while, park in Montalvao and walk directly to the cache to search for it and get to know the spot where the contraband cross the Sever River and maybe you can rest and make a pic-nic in the Fonte da Bica, water source. Waypoints: PARK1-> PARK2-> PARK3-> Cache-> HARBOU. 5 kms in total and a difference in altitude of 200m.
· If you have a 4WD, drive it until 150m from the cache. Then walk to the cache to search for it and get to know the spot where the contraband cross the Sever River and maybe you can rest and make a pic-nic in the Fonte da Bica, water source. · If you have a regular car, drive it until 860m from the cache. Then walk to the cache to search for it and get to know the spot where the contraband cross the Sever River and maybe you can rest and make a pic-nic in the Fonte da Bica, water source. Waypoints: PARK1-> PARK2(park here)-> PARK3-> Cache-> HARBOU
The cache is very well hidden and i ask you to understand it and to left the cache exactly as it is.
Cache Content:
It's plastic, cylindrical container with the logbook, stash note, pen and several gifts being one of them a little more valuable - kind of a special prize.
Don't forget: "Cache in, trash out"
