LONG DESCRIPTION:
PLEASE NOTE - New Start Location: N51°20.128 E0°01.797

This cache should take less than 1 hour. Wheelchair access is not possible at the final location.

You are close to Biggin Hill airfield (see Biggin on the Bump 1). Today the area consists of 4 main parts, a ‘London’ Passenger Terminal, the ATC barracks, an RAF Chapel and area where Battle of Britain aircraft and pilots are remembered and a Private Airfield. You can find these to the South of your current location.

Biggin Hill is famous for its contribution as a WW2 airfield and the Hurricanes and Spitfires that were based there. The Biggin Hill airfield is also the location of the Biggin Hill Air Fair – one of the largest historic air events. (Please note the location will be VERY busy during the airshow and travel on foot or cycle is recommended.) For more information about the airshow… (visit link)

At the start location there is on-road parking. The King's Arms Public House is located here and has a wealth of interesting Battle of Britain Memorabilia inside. Well worth a visit and a swift half. The pub is child-friendly. It has a large garden area and food is also available.

The cache itself is placed at a second location, roughly 20 minutes walk away. There are some stiles to cross. Care is needed crossing the busy road. There is a 30mph speed limit but cars often travel faster.

The cache is on a circular public walk around Leaves Green. (You do NOT need to complete the full 6.5 miles loop; but may wish to walk it if the weather is fine. Information about the walk can be found here… (visit link)

The cache is a small sandwich box in a plastic bag. There are several items to trade but size is limited.

THE THEME OF THE CACHE IS AIRCRAFT RELATED
It would be great if swaps could have an aviation theme but this is optional. For the FTF, there is a choice of Aircraft Top Trumps or an Action Man Airplane Alarm.
Other items include: postcards, buttons, a spinner, airport fire truck, polystyrene planes, a balloon and a helicopter straw game.
When the cache was set there was also a travel bug - "Tom the 'Trooper".
(Please replace the rubber band to keep the lid on tightly.)
I hope you enjoy the cache. So let's get started...
