Since the 1930s, this location has been a mecca for surfers of all ages and is considered by some to be the “home of contemporary surfing.”
This beach is also known as possibly the best place in the world for windsurfing. It is the site of two major world-class competitions.
Due to the strong surf, windsurfing at this beach should be left to the experts. However, the beach has an 1/8 mile coral reef that makes a pond-like area perfect for taking a dip in the early morning or when the ocean is calm.
This is the eleventh cache in our Iki series. Iki is the Hawaiian word for little or small. The Iki caches are always at easy to get to points of interest.
