A TRIBUTE TO AMERICA'S ROAD WARRIORS
The trucking industry is a brutal – not often forgiving – industry, where they're being asked to do the impossible, often putting them, their cargo, and you and me, the average motorist, at risk; and then, when a shipment arrives late, or damaged in any way, they're reprimanded or penalized in some way. Or, when they ask for just compensation to cover ware and tare of equipment and the ever rising cost of fuel, we squawk about it!
COME ON PEOPLE!!!
Give the men/women of the trucking industry a break!! They're having a tough time making ends meet just like the rest of us, while watching as more & more of their counterparts fall by the wayside! These people spend a lot of time on the highways/byways, some away from friends & loved ones for days on end, so that our stores stay stocked with everything from the incidental (but scrumptious) zeppolli to fresh produce & groceries, to the MUST HAVE, Harley or Jaguar, and everything in between!
I think we should commend each & every one of these individuals & stress to our companies that they stop complaining so much (if it's unwarranted of course) & start giving the pat on the back they deserve; just like our police, fire fighters & soldiers do!!
