Der Baggersee Rossau, auch Baggersee
Innsbruck genannt, liegt am südöstlichen Stadtrand von Innsbruck
und gehört zum Stadtteil Amras. Mit einer Fläche von 2,8 Hektar ist
er der größte See im Stadtgebiet.
Im Sommer nützen viele den See als Naherholungsgebiet. Das Wasser
kann sich auf bis zu 24°C erwärmen. Nebenbei findet man zahlreiche
Sportmöglichkeiten wie Beach Volley, Badminton, Streetball oder
Tischtennis. Im Herbst wird auf dem Wasser intensiv gesurft.
Trotz der intensiven Nutzung bleibt die Wasserqualität konstant bei
Stufe II. Schilfregionen, Frischwasserzufuhr und unterirdische
Verbindungen mit dem Klärwerk Rossau und dem Inn versorgen den See
mit ausreichender Wasserumwälzung. Außerhalb der Badesaison
bewohnen Wasservögel wie Kormorane und Schwäne diesen
Lebensraum.
Der Baggersee mit seiner Umgebung wird von der Stadt Innsbruck
gepflegt.
Die Badenutzung ist kostenpflichtig. Das Geld wird für die
Instandhaltung der Freizeitanlage genützt.

ACHTUNG: Da die Gegend besonders im
Sommer stark vermuggelt ist und nachts von der Polizei kontrolliert
wird, ist Vorsicht und eine gute Tarnung notwendig. Der Cache ist
Tag und Nacht von außen zugänglich und es müssen
keine Zäune oder ähnliches überwunden
werden!

the Location
Baggersee Innsbruck (also: Baggersee
Rossau) is located in the south-eastern part of Innsbruck and
belongs to the city district Amras. With an area size of 2.8 ha it
is the largest lake in the city. Many people use the lake as
recreation area in Summer. The water can warm up to 24 °C.
Recreational activities at the lake include beach volley,
badminton, streetball or table tennis. In fall the water is
intensively used for surfing. Despite the high usage, the water
quality remains constant at Grade B. Reed regions, fresh water
supply and subterranean connections with the sewage treatment plant
Rossau and the Inn River provide the Lake with sufficient water
circulation. Rare water birds like cormorants and swans use this
territory usually during the non-bathing season. The Baggersee
Innsbruck and its environment is a true jewel that is thoroughly
maintained by the city of Innsbruck. Bathing is charged. This
income is used for the maintenance of the leisure
facility.

frequently used by muggels and the police is controlling at night,
caution and stealth is required. The Cache can be found from
outside at day and night and it is not needed to
climb over fences or similar!
