Geocache Description:

This series of caches is being placed in commemoration of Davenport's hosting of the GPS Adventures Maze at the Putnam Museum, May 23 - Sept 8, 2009. These are all full-size, family-friendly (okay, a few thorns) caches located near roads that might be taken to get to the maze exhibit. These will also be a good introduction to geocaching for the newer participant.

The GPS Adventures Maze is a traveling educational exhibit developed to teach people of all ages about navigation, GPS technology and geocaching. A hands-on experience that features GPS technology (its history, current uses and future possibilities), it simulates geocaching by leading visitors through a 2,500 square foot maze rich with interactive experiences. GPS Adventures was created by Groundspeak, exhibit creator Minotaur Mazes, development sponsor Trimble and technology contributors Magellan and Digital Globe.

Many cachers and families like to have a camping/RV experience along with their travels, and this cache series will highlight some local parks that host campers. (No endorsement is implied.)

Our third cache lives at Scott County Lake Park, a 1280-acre park with camping, horseback trails, hiking trails, picnic areas and loads of geocaches, all in northern Scott County near Eldridge, Iowa. (visit link)

The cache is a camo ammo can. Please park properly, and as there is some nearby ground-moving going on, please step carefully. Have fun!

NOTE: THERE WILL BE A SEVENTH BONUS CACHE! IF YOU WISH TO SEARCH FOR IT, YOU MUST WRITE DOWN THE LETTER AND THE NUMBER LISTED ON THE INSIDE LID OF THE CACHE!
