This cache is currently unavailable, due to the snow, but will be ready for the spring - Happy Holidays.

VIDI - Latin for "I saw" This is the second of 3 geocaches I placed in this area, VENI is the first and also has the driving/parking directions.

VIDI and VICI are increasingly more difficult, requiring a certain amount of perseverance, mostly because of the increase of elevation and lack of a decent trail. You may have to bushwack, scramble, traverse steep slopes and may encounter; loose rock, deadfalls, thorns, forest goblins and possibly, a Blair Witch like character, known to the locals as "La vecchia strega", so please be careful.

This cache is about 800 meters from the VENI cache and gains approximately 270 meters in elevation. I highly recomend that you take some type of liquid refreshment, this uphill climb makes a person thirsty. Enjoy your hike/scramble to the top.

Cache is a 8" x 5" Loc'n'loc container.

Had to do this one on the way back from Vici. I, like many others missed it going up. Speaking of which, if there was a harder way to get on and off this mountain, I would have found it. I did enjoy the day but I have to admit I am a little tired now. Thanks for this.

#471 - As Ringrat already stated we did this one on the way back from Vici as we walked past it on the way up. It was another very challenging cache for an old guy like me. Glad I had Ringrat along to complain too. Also glad I had her along to find my way back as my navigation system GPS was almost dead and I only had my senses to rely on and they obviously weren't working that well or I would never have agreed to go up to these caches in the first place. It was a great day and a super hike on a nice cool fall day. It did start to rain later as the weather man had promised but thankfully we were down off the mountain by that time. TFTC SL At lest Ringrat said she did. TNLN Thanks to Zanadian for a great series of caches with an actual container at the end instead of a micro. Loved the whole series.

We missed seeing on the way up to conquer, but we found it on the way down. Passed beneath it the first time, wondering how on earth we were supposed to go straight up to it. Well, when we found it (by going another way), we were wondering how to get straight down too. Ended up backtracking and picking up our ascending trail to take the safe road down. Good thing I had a topo map...
The log is, unfortunately, slightly damp. Still perfectly usable though, and easy to write in.
Thanks for the great series, Z!

Led my new to caching sister on quite a trek for this one but the GPS would not settle down either in the gully or on top of the bluff. We will try some other day. It didn't help that we took a totally wrong route to get part way there.
