COC_BeccaDay: This one is likely missing since it's a high traffic neighborhood and since I don't live here anymore I can't check on it. I sure do miss my best neighborhood!

Geocache Description:

The Best Neighborhood in the Country!!

I am proud to tell you that I live in the best neighborhood in the country. Or at least that is the conclusion that Good Morning America came to in 2009. They were hosting a series called "At Your House" and they encouraged viewers to write in and tell GMA why their neighborhood was the best in the country. Of course many wrote in but the winner was someone who lives just a few blocks away from me. She wrote about how people in our neighborhood care about each other and help each other out (among other things). So on April 28, 2009 the cast and crew of Good Morning America hosted a big party for us at Buchner Park. They provided music and food and people from all over the place showed up. They walked around and spoke to us and I got to meet Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts. It was a great party! That night the cast of GMA spent the night in the home of the winner and then they broadcast their morning show in front of her house. I remember I woke up that morning at 4:00 AM to the sound of helicopters buzzing around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go to the broadcast because I needed to get kids off to school but I went afterwards and watched them clean up the stage. What a production! It was a little slice of fame for our neighborhood and it was all great fun.

I think of this event often when I pass by Buchner Park or the winner’s house. I thought it might be fun to hide a cache in honor of our neighborhood and this event. It is wheelchair accessible until the last few feet and you should be able to park very close. You are looking for a camo-covered Tupperware container. This should be a very easy find but please be careful of the landscaping. Also, you will need to be very careful of muggles passing by because this is a high-traffic spot. Please let me know if that’s the case and I will go and replace it ASAP. The Waukesha Parks and Rec have given permission for placement of this cache.

Congratulations to The Shadow Man for being the FTF
