This cache was originally placed by Team Nia in February 2002, and is thus the second oldest cache in Northamptonshire. It was adopted, relocated and changed into a multi by Milvus-milvus in 2004 and adopted again in 2014 by MikenJess.
Park in the Sulgrave Manor car park (coordinates above), or on the road outside.
The Sulgrave Coat of Arms features a number of red stars. How many? This is clue A.
Walk out of the car park, turn left, and up Manor Road past the Star Inn (why not pop in for a nice pint of Hook Norton?).
Near the corner of School Street is a much loved community shop and Post Office. Number of letters in the last word on the bench outside = Clue B.
Continue West on Magpie Road. Just before Park Street on the left you will find the Village Stocks, situated between two magnificent old Copper Beeches (a photo opportunity perhaps?). On the ground is a metal plaque. C = number of lines in the first paragraph. D = number of lines in the second paragraph. No minor theft or drunkenness, now..
Retrace your steps back down Magpie Road to the Sulgrave Parish Church. The church originates from Saxon times, with the tower dating from the early 13th century. The churchyard is an interesting place to explore, and includes the Washington Tomb. The South Porch was added by Lawrence Washington in 1EFG.
Exit the churchyard from the southern gate onto Church Street. Turn left, and cross School Street into Little Street. At the top of Little Street is a signpost. The distance in miles from Brackley gives your final clue H.
