Christmas Cache 2005 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Geo Santa: Noticed construction along route 9 in the area so I stopped by to check on this cache. Looks like I was a little to late because the tree, the cache and everything in the area has fallen prey to the bulldozer. The only thing left here is dirt.

Thanks to everyone who visited this cache.

Geocache Description:

Now that Christmas 2005 is in the history books its time to convert this to a regular cache.  I would like to thank everyone who braved the cold and snow to come out and find this cache.  The special Christmas container and its contents have now been replaced with a 50 cal ammo can and regular trade items so this cache may live on.

The cache is located not far off the bike trail.  You can park at N42°47.876' W73°43.942' in the bike trail parking lot in front of the concrete plant.  As you head up the trail you will get to within 350 feet from the cache at one point.  You can bushwhack from here or continue on down the bike path to N 42° 47.917 W 073° 44.240 where you will find a path leading into the woods.  Make the right choices, which will be obvious if you watch your arrow, and the path will take you to within 10 feet of the cache.  When you leave please be sure the cache can not be seen from the trail.

This is a rather easy cache and it along with the Basic Geocache nearby would be great first finds for beginners.

Merry Christmas To All

Well hey, there's another one on its way.
