Where: Musky Island in the Holcombe Flowage in Chippewa County
When: July 5, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.
What: A Flash Mob Event geared toward anyone of any age. A nice little family event that involves no planning on your part other than to stop by during the scheduled time, and if you're interested, pose for a group photo.
Who: Any or all interested geocachers along with family and friends who may be recreating in the Holcombe Lake area of northern Wisconsin during the afternoon of July 5, 2015.
Why: An opportunity to get off the water for awhile to explore the island named after the largest predatory fish that inhabits Holcombe Lake and much of northern Wisconsin, as well as an opportunity to say hello to other like minded people.
This event will be a 30 minute flash mob gathering on a nice sized island in the Holcombe Flowage of Chippewa County. If you are in the immediate area during the Fifth of July in the early afternoon when the event is being held, please feel free and welcome to stop by and stretch your legs and engage in some lively conversation with like minded people before taking a minute or two to pose for a group photo, which will be taken at approximately 1:30 P.M. before getting back on the water to enjoy whatever activities you are partaking in this weekend.
The Holcombe Flowage actually extends into both Chippewa and Rusk Counties and it contains several good sized islands to explore while recreating in the area, or while searching for area geocaches including one nearby on Musky Island. We are looking forward to seeing and visiting with those who may stop by for this fun little family event on an island in the north woods of Wisconsin!
