This cache is at the end of one of our favorite Dubuque trails (15-20 min hike each way). The concept of caching was to share "secret" locations with others, and this definitely qualifies. This is a spot only known by neighborhood locals.. It starts behind the Gay Park ballfield and takes you to an 180 degree view of the north end. If you bring children or dogs KEEP THEM CLOSE towards the end. Theres a steep cliff that drops a few hundred feet with little warning. We take our kids and dog often, so we know when to keep them close (the last 200 yards). There's an alternate starting point which you can explore (you'll see the fork).
The trail is well established, great for mountain biking or hiking. Also a great location to bring a bag and grab some litter (random dumping). This is our first cache, feel free to suggest any changes.
