O Rio (The River) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

adequada perante as situações relatadas. Relembro a secção das
guidelines sobre a manutenção
http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=307#maint :
You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain
proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with
the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable
your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a
chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable
amount of time – normally a few weeks – in which to check on your
cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily
disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the
listing.

Because of the effort required to maintain a geocache, we ask that you
place physical caches in your usual caching area and not while on a
vacation or business trip. It is best when you live within a
manageable distance from the cache placements to allow for return
visits. Geocaches placed during travel may not be published unless you
are able to demonstrate an acceptable maintenance plan, which must
allow for a quick response to reported problems. An acceptable
maintenance plan might include the username of a local geocacher who
will handle maintenance issues in your absence.

Obrigado

Geocache Description:

O Rio e a Saúde (The River and Health)

Património Histórico Cultural of Dornes: O Rio

MENSAGEM DE SAÚDE ESCOLAR: O Rio e a Saúde

Cultural Heritage of Dornes: The River

Dornes forms a peninsula surrounded by the coast: Albufeira de Castelo do Bode and has got its origin in a church whose building was ordered by the Queen Saint Isabel. The church was built on a riff where a templar tower existed. This pentagonal tower made of limestone, with schist walls, and an irregular outline, is unique in our country. It was built on what was leftover of another tower whose building was ordered by Sertório, a Roman general, who was born about 122 years before Christ, and was murdered in the year 72 before Christ.
The small village of Dornes was honoured by the Order of Christ and is nowadays one of the most beautiful Portuguese landscapes. Dornes was considered a district till 1836, and the King Venturoso declared it as Council in 1513.
In its church the tiles, the important organ, the stone pictures of Our Lady of Sorrows and of Saint Catherine and the beautiful oil painting of the scene: The rest in the escape to Egipt are the highlights.

SCHOOL HEALTH MESSAGE: The River and Health

Fish is a marvellous addition to any healthy diet. Generally the amount of fat is low (a lot of types provide 20% or less fat calories) which makes fish a very good option of protein. The fat it has is seen as a cure and prevention of diseases.
Eating fish instead of red meat or poultry usually means less amount of total fat, but this almost always means less saturated fat (unless you have ordered fry fish with tartar sauce).
This is important when you deal with your health and your heart and your blood veins. Ironically the fish with a high fat amount are better for your health than the fish with a low fat amount, because they contain more omega 3 acids.
