GEGP #11- Just Cars Traditional Geocache

This cache was placed as a part of the Great Eastlink Geocache Project. The Project involved 25 Geocaching Teams from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne who combined their efforts in July 2008 to create the largest cache series in Australia in which each cache in the series is individually owned by one team.

The Eastlink started its life many governments ago as the much promised Scoresby Bypass, which came and went with each change of government. The main thrust of the project was to alleviate the heavy traffic flow on Stud and Springvale Roads, and in discussion with fellow workers and residents near these roads it has been successful. My cache is near a main access road that has no direct access to Eastlink, and those wishing to access it near here have to use Burwood Highway. The container is 2 litre Sistema container painted black. As the name implies this cache has a car theme and is stocked with numerous toy cars for the geokids.
