Geocache Description:

About the time the lake was built (1950), this land was granted to the Girl Scouts for their summer camp. Years after, they moved to another location. The only remains still there is an old vacated pavilion. Excel Energy still owns the land and allows foot traffic only, through the area.

You'll see a trail entering the wooded area from the cul-de-sac where you'll park. Walk in a short distance and you'll happen upon a creaky old building which is the pavilion. Walk inside and............What's that? Can you hear the scouts singing?........ or is it the wind whistling through the cracks? The cache is planted inside. If you're lacking height, there's an old bench there, or..bring a taller companion or a short ladder. PS...While you're there, check out the "still working" hand pump out back. Give it a few pumps and fresh water will start flowing.
