Welcome to the LEX Geo Art event

This is the first Geo Art in the central Kentucky area.

Start time 9:00 and end time about 9:30.

Since we will be burning a few calories while riding, walking or running the trail we will have some donuts from a certain local donut shop that can only be bought in Lexington. If you have never had these it is worth attending the event just to get one of them. We will also have some coffee, water and some fresh fruit.

You do not have to find any of the LEX caches to attend the event.

The finals for the LEX Geo Art are located along the Legacy Trail. The Legacy Trail is approximately ten miles long and runs from the North end near the Kentucky Horse Park to the South at the YMCA on Loudon Ave in Lexington. This LEX Geo Art has 26 caches that covers about 5.5 miles one way along the trail with several other caches along or near the trail. If you have not been to this area before you could easily pick up 30 - 40 caches along or very close to the trail but will be going more than 5.5 miles.

After the event we invite everybody to go and find the LEX Geo Art and the other caches in the area. You can start from the North near the event and ride South or move car to the center parking listed on the caches pages and start at that end. Either way you will be on a paved surface most of the time. The caches are generally located a short distance from the paved tail.

You can ride a bike, walk or run on the trail. No motorized vehicles of any type are allowed.
