Located in the Hartley Nature area, the root cellar is one of those places that you usually cannot find unless you know where it is. As you will see, there are a lot of local youth that know where to find it. Built in 1919 along with the farm house, the remnants are some of the only traces left of the Hartley farm today. You can view the brief history of the area at: www.hartleynature.org Use care when walking around the area, as there are more dangerous spots. Not recommended after dark, unless you have a very good flashlight. Bring your own pencil.
