A camo'd micro in a sea of ivy. Log only, no pen.
Some caches are a real challenge. There are wicked camo caches, caches that require stealth or special knowledge, caches that need special equipment, caches you can only get at certain times, caches that require problem solving or caches that require exertion. But then there are some caches that are just plain cruel. "Just Plain Cruel" (JPC) is the new series dedicated to those caches we've all heard about, but hopefully we've never really had to endure personally.
This one is the proverbial 'leaf pattern camouflaged micro hidden in a sea of ivy with poor reception at the site.' This is the kid of stuff the worst nightmare urban legends of urban caching are made of.
Now don't get all upset and think something like, "What sick fool would place a cache like that!?! Ivy is dirty nasty stuff, and a camo'd micro hidden in it? That's just plain cruel!!" Before you dismiss this cache as impossible or not worth your time, consider this: This series is only meant to lampoon the nasty cruel caches, not imitate them. I'm not THAT cruel; I have provided hints and advice, and if you pay attention you'll find it easily. It's even got a respectable difficulty rating and you will be the envy of your friends if you find it. If you think like a geocacher and not a gardener, you'll see the light and realize you don't actually have to dig around in the nasty weed. But a few words of caution: If you are not 5'10" or taller, bring along a friend of this size or a small step stool or one of those extendable gripper thingies. (The automated Geocaching rating system generated a 3/2 rating. I made it a 4/2 due to the need for height and what I feel this cache would rate if I had not helped you out with some hints.) And remember this is a real sea of ivy we're talking about and tha cache is camo'd, so night time is maybe not the best time for seeking this one. You've been cautioned. Have fun!
