Let's get out and help clean up our public lands. Yes, it is that time again...National Public Lands Day.
This year our local area National Public Lands Day will be held on the Georgia side of the lake at the West Dam Day Use Area pavilion. We look forward to everyone coming out and helping with this very important CITO. The start time of the CITO will be 8 am and clean up will be over at 11:15 am. (All supplies will be provided by the Corp...however, you may wish to bring your own gloves). As always, lunch will be served by the Corp of Engineers after clean up is complete and will immediately follow after the end of the CITO.
This is an annual project held by the Corp of Engineers and we, the CSRA Geocachers, have always had a great time helping out by working side-by-side with the Corp to ensure that our public lands are kept up as well as possible. Come on out and visit with the Corp of Engineer Rangers and have a fun day of getting things done and then full stomachs after all that much appreciated work.
