Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a granite outcrop in the Namwala GMA (Game Management Area) to the East of the Kafue National Park.

To reach this geocache will be quite an expedition, however you will be visiting a remote, beautiful and very little visited area of Zambia.

Shumba is the Tonga for lion, and the rock outcrop is so named because lion is often seen in this area. The local people call the outcrop Mpamba, and it has local spiritual significance.

The cache is maintained by Tom Heineken, and he can be contacted at Kaingu Lodge [kaingu.lodge@super-hub.com].

To my knowledge, this is the first traditional geocache in Zambia!
