In a newly redesigned park in Grants Pass
This park has been recently redesigned to add playground equipment. The story goes that the City of Grants Pass received requests from several people, who have small children, to improve this park to include a playground. The city agreed as there were no close parks with playgrounds around. They reportedly have had the imporvements in the planning stage for some time. So why was the work done now?
Well, there were rumors that an owner of a strip club had purchased property nearby. The city has an ordinance that does not allow strip clubs with certain distances from playgrounds and such. Well, this park was within that distance but didnt meet the requirements. Sooo, the city decided that they wanted "to be above board" and not make it look like they were putting in playground equipment just to keep the strip club out. Soooo, they pushed the time table up on the improvements so the owner of the club would know he couldnt open a strip club at the property he reportedly just bought.
The rumors of the owner of a strip club buying nearby property are just that RUMORS and can not be confirmed. I was thinking about starting rumors that he bought property near several pieces of land that the city owns and plans on someday building parks. Maybe this way they would build the parks now and I would have more places to place caches. What do you think, will this idea work?
To get this cache you do not have to go onto private property. Please be careful when searching for and replacing the cache as there may be a lot of half naked children playing nearby.
