No direct access from I-8. Approach from the North on Peart, which passes under I-8. Follow the NEW (good gravel) road to the NEW parking area.

This cache is to commemorate the Grand Opening of Casa Grande Mountain Trails on November 19, 2011. After years of planning, hard work, and determination, the City of Casa Grande proudly opened the first section of what will be an extensive hiking and mountain bike trail network. Spear headed by Mary Johnson, Director Parks & Recreation, with support from the City, youth trail work groups, and LOTS of volunteers, this project will continue to grow and bring many recreational benefits to the community. It is fitting that Mary Johnson (although not yet a "licensed" geocacher) was first to sign this log!
