Balance Rock is our 50th Geocache and is located in Arches National Park.  Arches National Park preserves over two thousand natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch, in addition to a variety of unique geological resources and formations. In some areas, faulting has exposed millions of years of geologic history.The extraordinary features of the park, including balanced rocks, fins and pinnacles, are highlighted by a striking environment of contrasting colors, landforms and textures.  Balanced Rock is one of two virtual geocaches we planted in this great National Park.  The coordinates lead you to the sign in front of Balanced Rock.
 

To log this cache as a find you must either:

• Find the location and take a picture of yourself (or another of your team member) with your GPS in hand. Then upload and post it to your “found log” on this geocache page. (No GPS in the photo - then no found log. Old Photos do not count for anything other than a logged note).

• Or Answer the following question: From the given cache site coordinates - look at the sign and tell us when it was that the little brother to Balanced Rock - Chip off the Old Block toppled to the ground. Email your answer to ( TeamFamilyAffair@hotmail.com ), If your answer is correct you can count this as cache as a successful find.
