Located just outside Chewelah, WA in an area commemorating many of the area's previous inhabitants Cache is in woods behind

This area of Washington state was settled early in the history of America and is a lovely valley nestled below fir tree covered mountains. The area is rich in wildlife, especially deer, a late evening drive along any of the side country roads will probably result in deer sightings.

I do not live here but was here visiting family, I needed a cache in which to place a travelbug which I had acquired in a cache in Western New York and did not find a cache large enough to place it nearby so decided to make a cache and leave it. Thanks to those who help maintain it as I am in the area a week in the spring and a week in the fall.

Please hide it well after you find it so that casual walkers do not see it. If you have trouble finding it, check the hint as the day I hid it was a very heavy cloud day and the coordinates kept changing slightly but only a few degrees.

Boy... It was a pleasure to pick up a cache that was placed way back in 2002. I actually logged a no find on this one a couple of years ago. I don't get to travel through Chewelah very often, so I decided to try it again on this Geo-trip. TFTC X-C Shadow

Stopped to look at material at Akers and wanted to drop off these two geocoins!! Keep them Moving, I always seem to hang on to them longer than I intend to!!!
There were two deer guarding the graves, they weren't bothered by us at all !! Thanks for the hide!!

Night caching in a cemetery. It doesn't get much better than this. :)

GPS sent me in circles for a little bit. Once I got kss (wife) to turn off the head lights so I could see better, I found it easily.

Nice hide. EXCELLENT location.

Dropped our teenage girls off at a dance and picked up a few caches while waiting. It feels a little crazy to go wandering out in the cold, dark woods behind a cemetery looking for a plastic bottle full of toys and trinkets just so I can "log the find". I've always claimed I was a little crazy TFTH!
