The Cache will lead you to the 12 km long area called „Koschuta”. The massif is in Carinthia vertical. In Slovenia the grass is up to the summit.
From the village Zell Pfarre you can use the 3km toll road to the Koschuta Haus , N46°27.083 E014°23.213, you have to pay 3 Euro.It will take you about 5 – 7 hours for the 7 km circuit and you’ ll have height difference of app. 1000 meter. You should have mountain experience to climb small vertical parts. The climbing parts are not difficult, a lot of steel ropes will help you. Giddiness free it’s a matter of course. Climbing helmet and good mountain boots are also required. You need a passport, because you cross the border to Slovenia.In winter, spring and at the beginning of summer you must have special mountain knowledge. Crampon,, pick-axe and rope are necessary - only for specialists!!!On the trip you see red white red marks or only red stripes on the rocks. You must always follow small paths. You have to go from the car park through the “Ostschlucht” to the summit of the “Koschutnikturm 2136m”. From the summit, go along a small path to the “Lärchenschlucht” to the great “Lärchenturm” which is nearby. You’ll see the tower from a lot of directions. You have to search for a big hole. The entrance of the hole is in Slovenia and the exit is in Carinthia. The cache is not situated in a steep slope and the area is not dangerous.
