Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the banks of the Mississippi in the Sauk Rapids Municipal Park. Ample parking is availible within nice hiking distance from the cache. A paved trail leads along the edge of the Mississippi for a very good stretch, so if you like, enjoy the river by taking a relaxing hike.

This stretch of the river is known for it's premier smallmouth bass fishing. Other speices of fish are also present in this area including walleyes and crappies. There is a public access to the river at the park. It may be difficult to launch your boat in times of low water. There is plenty of bank fishing of the river along a fairly long stretch of river located on park land. So don't be afraid to bring a rod and reel along and maybe get a chance to hook into one of those smallies.

The theme of this cache is fishing. The cache itself is a 5" by 5" by 3" container that you will find well stocked with different types of fishing equipment. Please try and bring some sort of fishing related swag to trade if you can. If you don't have any don't worry about it and just trade as normal.
