TurdleEggs: Sadly, the cache's hiding spot is gone. Happily, it had a lot of fun while it was there. Happy trails!

Geocache Description:

Winter Friendly

Take a nap on the sidewalk, beg for change, yell at the wall, but whatever you do don’t look like you’ve found something interesting!

Coins and pins only please – no baggies!

This small cache is located in the historic Exchange District of downtown Winnipeg. It's a high-muggle area, so this hidden in plain view cache has been carefully camouflaged. The cache is suitable for trading pins and coins.

You must choose your hunt time wisely and be sure to use stealth when retrieving the cache. If you are spotted it will likely be muggled and gone for good. Please use care not to be spotted when rehiding.

With limited sky view it may be difficult to get a good reading, but Google Satellite images are your friend!

July 19, 2007 Update

The cache is now located on a bakery patio in the summer months. This came as somewhat of a surprise. The patio gate will be closed after hours so access may be a problem at times. The new owner is happy to have the cache remain on the patio. Once the snow flies, the patio comes down so the city can clear the sidewalk.

This will definitely up the difficulty level to retrieve it without being noticed, but should limit the search somewhat with the poor GPSr reception here.

There's plenty of great patios and little restaurants close by, and there's usually something going on in Old Market Square during the summer. Not to mention the dozen or so unique art galleries scattered around The Exchange. If you've got time to explore, there's distinctive businesses tucked away here, there and everywhere in the old warehouses in the area - and not on the main floor either. Watch for signs! During the Fringe Festival, this area will be very busy.

This hide was inspired by legendary cacher Curious George of Victoria, BC.
