Geocache Description:

The Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Dept is offering this workshop to introduce geocaching to our community.

Geocaching, a global game of treasure hunting using longitude and latitude coordinates, is a fun filled adventure for all ages. With a GPS receiver, and internet access, you are ready to explore and search for a "geocache". This session will instruct the basics needed to enjoy this eco-friendly sport including suggested equipment, the website, how to search for a cache and types of caches. You will enjoy the thrill of the hunt but the real discovery is the countless locations of natural beauty and historical interest you will find that you never knew existed.
Families are encouraged to participate. Please dress for the weather. Workshop will include both an indoors and outdoors portion. If you have a GPS unit, please bring it (not required).
