This cache was set out for finders to experience the joy of the
search and to savor nature at her finest. If your idea of a great
cache hunt is a drive-up micro in a paved parking lot, this one is
not for you. The hike is about 2 miles round trip
from any of the suggested starting points.

Welcome to the beautiful Haldeman Tract of the
Weiser State Forest near
Elizabethville, Pennsylvania. This is a big, wild, rugged area and
features almost everything nature has to offer in Pennsylvania. I
have seen deer, turkeys, and bears in this area as well as numerous
types of songbirds and small mammals. I am sure there are also
ticks, mosquitoes, spiders, snakes, poison ivy and briars to be
found there. If those kinds of things concern you, take precautions
or stay home. Though not required in State Forests, it is a good
idea to wear fluorescent orange during
hunting seasons. The cache is accessed from trails off
of State Forest roads that have no winter maintenance.
During severe winters the roads may be closed and the cache will be
accessible only by a very long hike.
