Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a full day of activities
including a campout Saturday night. Evening activities include hot
dog/marshmallow roasting/cache stories around the campfire. Other
activities are in the planning stage and will be announce as they
are finalized. Input from the membership is encouraged.
The park has given us special permission to camp in the picnic
area adjacent to the pavilion for a reduced cost of $3 per person.
No reservations are required, but please check in at the visitor’s
center if you are planning on camping with us. If you plan on
RVing, reservations must be made in advance by calling the park at
501-844-4176.
Nestled in the natural beauty of the Ouachita Mountains on
1,940-acre Lake Catherine, one of the five popular Diamond Lakes in
the Hot Springs area, the park features a launch ramp, standard
pavilion, picnic sites, playgrounds, laundry and trails. Gifts,
groceries, snacks and ice are available for sale daily at the
visitor center that overlooks the swimming area and nature center
(open during the summer only).Park interpreters offer guided hikes,
boat tours and programs during summer, or by advance request in
other seasons. Guided horseback trail rides are available during
the summer months To reach Lake Catherine State Park, take Exit #97
off I-30 near Malvern and go 12 miles north on Ark. 171 to the
park.

8:00am-Registration begins. You can pick up your
geobingo forms at this time as well as coordinates for the
poker run and flag for the closest to the pin
contest.
Searcykid and quiltingranny have some special
activities planned for the kids including a large ammo can cache
full of candy just for them.
10:30am-Cache Challenge-The events committee is working
on a cache challenge that we believe is going to be both exciting
and fun. Individuals or teams are encouraged to sign up at
registration for this fun adventure game.
12:00 noon-Lunch-Association will provide cold cuts and
all the fixins, soft drinks, and water. If anyone wants to bring a
desert to share, that would be greatly appreciated.
1:30pm-General membership meeting to include awards
presentations, introduction of newly elected board members, and
some very special surprises.
6:00pm-Hot dog/marshmallow roasting/cache stories around
the campfire.
