The Geo-Family Tree, like many families, has a heritage of colorful relatives.
This particular branch of the Geo-Family tree has had its fair share of them....
Born to the MOTHER of The Geo-Family Tree (GCG8WF)
was one BLACK SHEEP (GCGVT)
and some bad blood, BAD TO THE BONE I, II & III (GCGYAE).
Due to their risky behaviors, their days were short lived and
sadly, this branch of the Geo-Family Tree wilted and began to turn brown.
Fortunately, there is a silver lining in every dark cloud, and.
this spring, the branch sparked new life!
Out of it sprung THE FIRST OF AUGUST (GCNA0G),
who along the banks of the babbling Spokane River brought life to SONNY DAYZ!!!
SONNY, like his parent, loves to sit in the sun on the banks of Hangman Creek and listen to the rustling water.
His family's branch is now vibrant and strong with new green growth!
For within SONNY lies the Seed Pod, again waiting to sprout yet another viable geocache.
4/21/05 - THE SEED POD HAS BEEN PICKED UP - Watch for a new cache by Trevor and Kate!
If you take the Seed Pod, you must follow these rules:
1. The The Seed Pod must be planted within 30 miles of the Mother Cache and
2. It must be planted within 30 days of discovery.
3. Log that you took it and
4. Send an email to Yellow Alligator when you plant it.
TO FIND THE CACHE -
Park at the pull-out on High Drive near Bernard St. N47 37.101 W117 24.944
Take the trailhead at N47 37.107 W117 25.022
Follow the switchbacks all the way down the hill. (Choose each path that heads down. It may seem that you are going too far south for awhile, but at the bottom, you will be heading north to the cache.)
(FYI - There is access to the water's edge a little farther north of the cache.)
PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAILS to prevent erosion!!!
The trails are good for mountainbiking and jogging!
Round trip is about 1.5 miles. If walking, allow about an hour.
