Geocache Description:

Regular cache by a stream

Park and follow your GPSr along the stream. Near the car park is the entrance to the Woodhead Tunnel, which was opened for rail traffic in 1953 after years of work... it closed to passenger trains in 1971 and to all trains in 1980. The station platforms are still there, but the track has long since gone and is now a cycle trail/footpath.

This is a terrain 4 as the path crosses the stream and you'll have to use the rocks there to get accross. Some of the rocks are slippery and the water is cold (ask Booshka as she thought she'd test it!)

Once accross the stream you'll need to take care if it's been raining as the slopes will be slippery.
