La Storia
Bussana
Vecchia è un paese dell'entroterra ligure, con una singolare
storia alle sue spalle. Il paese è stato quasi raso al suolo il 23
febbraio 1887 da un terremoto; i suoi abitanti decisero, invece di
ristrutturare le abitazioni, di ricostruire il paese più a valle,
abbandonando i ruderi al loro destino. Nacque così il paese di
Bussana Nuova, in seguito espanso fino a Bussana Mare.
Per circa mezzo
secolo il paese originario rimase completamente abbandonato,
finchè negli anni '50 alcuni artisti si insediarono tra quei
ruderi, ristrutturando alcune delle costruzioni, e facendo del
paese il loro luogo di ispirazione. Lentamente artisti da
tutto il mondo ri-fondarono il paese, ristrutturando poco alla
volta buona parte dei ruderi, ma attenti a mantenere l'aspetto
rurale ottocentesco. Oggigiorno il paese è una bottega
artistica unica, rimasta esattamente come era alla fine
dell'Ottocento, e merita senza dubbio la visita; dal punto di
vista gastronomico, i punti di ristoro offrono ottime
specialità liguri a prezzi contenuti.
Il luogo
Bussana è facilmente raggiungibile seguendo la via Aurelia, fino a
trovare l'indicazione (tra Sanremo ed Arma di Taggia) per Bussana
e/o Bussana Vecchia, nelle vicinanze di un centro commerciale. Per
chi proviene dall'autostrada, l'uscita è quella di Taggia Arma; a
seguire, via Aurelia direzione Sanremo. Una volta superato il paese
di Bussana Nuova, quando arrivate in prossimità di Bussana Vecchia,
all'altezza del vivaio di bonsai, posteggiate: il paese non può
essere acceduto con mezzi a motore.
La Cache
Il modo migliore di raggiungere la cache è a piedi, dopo aver
attraversato tutto il paese. Il contenitore è un piccolo box con
tappo blu una scatolina nera con tappo
verde, ben coperto da una pietra. Dato che soprattutto
d'estate il luogo è molto frequentato, quando riposizionate la
scatola fate attenzione affinchè, dalla strada, non si veda.

The History
Bussana
Vecchia (Old Bussana) is a small ligurian village with an
interesting history. The village was completely destroyed by an
earthquake, the 23 feb 1887. Its inhabitants decided to abandon the
village, and to rebuild it down the hill, naming it Bussana Nuova
(New Bussana), and then Bussana Mare (Bussana on the Sea), near the
sea. Starting from the Fifties, some artists decided to live in the
old village, where they had a very good inspiration for its
artistic products, and rebuilding some old stone-made buildings.
Slowly, artists from all around the world decided to move to this
village, contributing to create an unique "artists village". Today
Bussana Vecchia is a unique 1800 village, with a lot of small shops
where craftsmen sell their hand-made products. At the gastronomical
point of view, on the village there are few "restoration points"
where it is possible to taste typical ligurian food.
The Place
Bussana is easily reachable following the Via Aurelia, until you
reach the sign, between Sanremo and Arma di Taggia, showing the
direction to Bussana, near a a mall. Then go through the Bussana
Nuova village, and after few minutes, before to reach the Bussana
Vecchia village, park near the Bonsai shop: the village can be
accessed only by foot.
The Cache
The best way to reach the cache is to walk through the whole
village. The box is a small tupperware with a blue top
small black box with a green top, well
hidden under a rock. Since the place is very visited during the
summer, please be sure to re-hide very well the box, so that it
will be not visible from the road. [The cache has been
