San Pedro, San Bernardino... what about us inner city dwellers?
The über urban cachers?
Well it's about time we're able to log an event
cache without spending a fortune on gas!
So come on out for...
FRENCH DIP FILL-UP!
Revel in the cacher camaraderie, get a thrill
from the geoswag raffle
and savor some of the best non-Chinese food Chinatown has to
offer!

The supposed story of the French Dip:
This restaurant was established in 1908 by Philippe Mathieu,
who claimed to have created the "French Dipped Sandwich."
One day in 1918, while making a sandwich, Mathieu inadvertently
dropped
the sliced french roll into the roasting pan filled with juice
still hot from the oven.
The patron, a policeman, said he would take the sandwich anyway
and returned the next day with some friends asking for more dipped
sandwiches.
And so the "French Dipped Sandwich" was born, named for Mathieu's
French heritage,
the French roll the sandwich is made on or because the officer's
name was French.
The truth is lost to history.
This is the second of three monthly Downtown Los
Angeles area events this summer.
Don't miss out!
