A small cache along the ridgeline.
Since my previous attempt to hide a cache failed because the trail I had intended to use was too overgrown, I was looking for spots along this ridgeline trail. I saw the hide location as I was walking by and thought it was perfect for the lunchbox I was carrying. I yelled ahead but the rest of the group couldn't hear me and soon were out of site around the bend. Just as I was done averaging my coords, TeamSimo strolled up and beta tested the cache for me. Later, as I rejoined the group, they went back and beta tested the cache as well (not happy to have to go back up the hill though).
The cache is a small German messkit (at least, that's what I think it is) and is painted camo. Be sure to screw the lid back on firmly so no water gets in. There is a cache pen, but this type is notorious for not working so it's best to bring your own. There is room for smallish trade items.
