Nice hike in El Granada,CA ending with a view of Half Moon Bay and a small geocache for you pleasure. Hike is steep at times and mostly uphill but total elevation change can't be more than 500ft. WATCH FOR POISON OAK!
The cache is located in the Quarry Park in El Granada(just north of Half Moon Bay, about 3miles). To get to the park you should take the first right(coming from Half Moon Bay) into El Granada(across from Surfer's Beach NOT the Harbor), there is a new stop light here. From here there should be signs directing you to the park. Once there park and enter the trails through the main entrance. There are at least two very nice views in this park and exploring around(using caution for poison oak) should be fun.
The cache is in a trader joe's yogurt container and contains:
1 paper balloon
1 Midsummer Night's Dream book
1 shoe horn
1 sewing kit
1 lip gloss(new)
1 box of crayons
1 string of beads
2 pins
1 patch
1 rubber duck
1 picture frame
1 wind up robot
Please replace the cache in its hiding place( don't want it to be picked up as trash by a conscientious hiker)
The container has been changed to a large tupperware to make it possible to store all the goodies that people have left. Keep on treking!
