From bad poetry to an evil puzzle,
this cache offers a little bit of almost everything*,
and will likely have you despising me for all kinds of reasons.
Hey, at least you'll have some nice views, if the weather
cooperates. This multicache starts along the same section of the
Rachel Carson Trail as does
"County Corner" by Shoebox and Vayen Poren, and I suggest you
use his directions to get you started. The first phase of this
cache has you looking for three orbs, each roughly the size of a
baseball, but with a much different flavor. Find each orb at these
coordinates and record its "magic number":
Orb 1:
N 40°39.613
W 079°41.930
Orb 2:
N 40°39.771
W 079°41.932
Orb 3:
N 40°39.854
W 079°41.985
If you should get stuck, hints for each orb location are given.
If at any point your GPSr is taking you over a cliff, resist the
urge to follow it. Be sure to take a moment or two to appreciate
some of the dramatic views, though. The magic numbers remain
important for the rest of the cache hunt. They are used to
determine the latitude for stage 4, by filling the blanks in the
coordinates below:
N 40°39.[orb 3][orb 2][orb 1]
W 079°42.200
Stage 4 is the puzzle stage. Once you find the small ammo can,
you must solve the puzzle to determine the location of the fifth
and final stage. Part of the puzzle is figuring out what to do with
it.
What's the point?
You shall see.
It all relies
On syzygy.
When approaching the final cache, pick your path wisely. There
are some steep areas around it, but it is possible to get to it
without risking your neck. I hope you enjoy this cache, and find it
to be both fun and challenging!
