alexrudd: I tried looking for the cache again a week ago with my camera on a stick. Unfortunately a large chunk of wood is now stuck (probably frozen) to the cavity right inside the hole, and I could not get the camera close enough. I guess I'll try again in the spring, but I suppose it has to be archived.

Geocache Description:

Small cache in a suburban park, a short walk from parking on a paved path suitable for bikes and wheelchairs.

Your job appears easy: put an entry in a log in a cache in a hole in a tree in a field in a park. However, there is more to it than that. This cache involves a deep, dark hole. You have no way of knowing what could be in there:

Gold coins?
Decaying bones?
Snakes?
Elvis' hideout?
Bags of $100 bills?
Sharp teeth?
A geocache?

You and I know there's only one way to find out: gather your courage and Reach in There!

This cache is hidden in Powerline ("Beau Drive") Park. You can continue under the power lines all the way to the other Powercache by wheetree. It is close to a brand new playground (satellite maps only show green grass). Dogs are allowed on a leash. The container is round and plastic, about 3" tall and 5" wide. It has room for small travel bugs and trading items, so feel free to trade. After signing the log, reclose the container completely!! (Snap it all the way around; there should be no grey showing on the rim!). Please replace everything EXACTLY AS FOUND. DO NOT PUT IT ON THE OTHER SIDE! (see my 4/10 log for the reason) Have fun!
