Maumelle Travel Bug Hotel Traditional Cache

ButterflyDiver: Well, I guess that I have no choice but to archive this one. There are at least 3 large branches & many smaller ones that are completely broken & hanging about 30 to 40 feet above the cache. They could fall in 2 days or hang there for 2 years. But, I can't take a chance on someone being hurt. Most of the surrounding trees have broken limbs that could fall at any time also.

And, there are NO Travel Bugs in the cache. I have clicked on the "Mark As Missing" button many times over the past several months & they still show up as being in the cache.

Geocache Description:


This is our first cache placement. It is located approximately three miles from Interstate 40. It is primarily a travel bug hotel, but contains some trade items. This is a regular size cache in a unique container.

Parking: If you don’t mind parking on uneven ground, you can pull off the road within 40 feet of the cache. Parking coordinates for level parking are: N 34 52.566 W 092 24.667 and then walk about 0.16 miles up the gradual hill.

Difficulty and terrain are both two stars. If you use the clue, the difficulty will be less. You won’t have to bushwhack to the cache, but the terrain is a bit harder than it looks from the road.

You do not have to drop a TB here to retrieve one. But, please do not take all TBs if you are not leaving one. And even if you have visited the Maumelle Travel Bug Hotel in the past, feel free to come back and trade TBs or take some on a journey. Travel Bugs love to travel! Enjoy!
