LONG DESCRIPTION:
This cache will take less than ½ an hour. Wheelchair access is no longer possible as I have had to move it. RAF area and Chapel do NOT need to be open in order to solve the clues. However, your visit will be much more interesting if you go when they are open.

You can park on the road at N51°19.644 E 0°01.370
Flanked by a replica Hurricane and Spitfire, the search starts at Biggin Hill RAF airfield N51°19.625 E 0°01.372 . This is a fighter airfield of note from the Battle of Britain.

It is possible to enter the RAF Chapel and view the amazing stained glass windows designed by Hugh Easton. Information and images about the Chapel can be found here... (visit link) . Further information about the windows can be found here... (visit link)

Parking for a small number of cars is available on the road. There is also a free car park which can be used when the Chapel is open. Please check the website for times.
The RAF part of the airfield is no longer active but there is an ATC Squadron located on the site. The old barracks also remain but are now owned by Bernie Ecclestone and the area houses several aircraft for F1 use!

The Biggin Hill aerodrome is also the location of the Biggin Hill Air Fair – one of the largest historic air events. (Please note the location will be VERY busy during the airshow and travel on foot or cycle is recommended.) For more information about the airshow… (visit link)

The clues lead to the micro cache. This is in its third location as the last ones were destroyed by over enthusiastic pruning! The new cache is secured by wire but the canister can be extracted from the cache without undoing the wire.

For the FTF, there is a toy car. (Lightning McQueen)
When the cache was set there was:
a log book with pencil,
Canadian coin
3 buttons,
a racing car

I hope you enjoy the cache. So let's get started...

1) At N51°19.617 E 0°01.371
Peace in Europe 8th May “ABCD”,
2) The black numbers on GZL read “pEFGH”
3) The black numbers on QJK read “kIJKL”
4) At N51°19.644 E 0°01.370
You can see a sign for ATC “MNOP” Squadron
5) At N51°19.617 E 0°01.371
The Chapel is open from “QRST” to 1600 hours on Monday.
6) Now you have all you need!

Take a quick flight to:
North DA° HK.DND, East SS° TH.(G+H)JK for the cache.

(If you continue to walk South along the airfield perimeter, you will see the current operational airfield, through the fence. Here, you may be lucky enough to see a plane land - exciting as they come in very low over the road.
In fact Biggin on the bump 3 micro is at…
North DA° HK.(A+E)(G+H)Q, East SS° TH.(L-E)(E+A)T but beware - there are 7 low flying red-herrings!)

*** Congratulations - Deepdiggingmole - FTF 22nd May 2009 ***
