Introduction:

This cache can be searched and found like any other traditional cache, but …

… it can be the starting point for an international cooperation as well: This cache is just one cache of a set of 24 caches named "IMC No. 2 …" (IMC = International Multi-Cache). These caches are hidden in 12 Countries worldwide: AU = Australia, CA = Canada, DK = Denmark, FR = France, DE = Germany, JP = Japan, LU = Luxembourg, MX = Mexico, NL = Netherlands, PT = Portugal, ZA = South Africa, ES = Spain. In each country there is a "primary cache" like this one and a "secondary cache" that can only be found with "hints" distributed to all primary caches. The 12 primary caches are named "IMC No. 2 P-x - yyy" and the 12 secondary caches "IMC No. 2 S-x - zzz" where x is the country code given above and yyy and zzz can be any additional name. The hints for the secondary caches are printed on "lists of hints" that are inside the primary caches. As the primary caches are scattered all over the world it will either require a lot of travelling or - and that is the intention of the IMC No. 2 - international cooperation: If you want to find the secondary cache as well, you should contact finders of other primary IMC No. 2 caches and exchange the hints. And please don't be a poor sport! Never publish these hints anywhere! Not in a log report or on any web side. The hints shall only be exchanged / traded between geocachers that found the primary caches and want to search the secondary caches.

The IMC No. 2 team wish you good luck!

"Feel The Wind"

Sintra

This is a place of some mystery. Place of magical and contemplation quality. There’s evidence of human presence and influence since the Neolithic Period. Inhabited since prehistory times, known as “Cyntia” (Moon) to the Celts. “Mons Lunae” (Moon’s Mount) to the Romans. “Xentra” to the Arabs and later the medieval “Sentria” or “Suntria” (Shinning Star”).

Peninha

From the top, in a clear, sunny day it can be seen at south, Cape Espichel and Arrabida Mountain and at north, Cape Carvoeiro and Berlengas Islands. One can also comtemplate the whole range of Sintra Mountain while feeling the wind.

The Hunt:

There’s a pic-nic area in Fonte das Pedras Irmãs (Sister Rocks Fountain) at N38º46.293 W 009º27.306 where you can leave your cachemobile or you can park it at N 38º46.155 W 009º27.536.

The best way to approach the cache is at N 38º46.100 W 009º27.620.

What a nice morning of geocaching with Sofia and our big friend wolfraider. This was the first cache we did in this sunny morning, and it wasn't that easy... We have to jump severall stones until Sofia said the magic words: "I found it!". Thanks for this nice cache.

Fui procurando alternativas e lá me fui aproximando.

Sim, a PENINHA!!

Maintenance visit.

I received an email warning me that this cache was completely wet inside because somebody did not closed correctly the container.

Today, i wento to perform a maitenance to the cache and found water inside the container as stated. Despite the logbook is somewhat wet I kept it in the cache, exchanged the ziplocks and dryed the inside of the container and all of its content.

Please, close the containers and all the ziplock bags correctly! It's about the cache's safety against the weather contidions. And it takes only one minute before going after the next cache.

Thank you!
