YOU WILL NEED A FLASHLIGHT TO
DO THIS CACHE! A pair of boots might be nice,
as the final can be wet & muddy. But with careful choices you
can avoid any major problems.
The listed co-ords are for parking. Follow the paved trail to
the Reference Point. This will place you at the edge of the trail
where you should see the first glint - there should be a milage
marker at your feet. Looking northish you should spot the glint.
Find the small trail (to the left) that leads that way. You don't
need to get all the way to the glint, just short of it (about 20
feet) look around for three other glints/reflectors spread all
around you (they aren't all on the same level). These four points
form the ends of an "X". Stand at the center of the "X" and take
co-ords. From these subtract 0.136 from the latitude, and subtract
0.100 from the longitude to get the final co-ords.
The ground is mostly level between here and the final, there's a
little hill at the end. There is some brush to be passed, but there
is a trail thru. A log crosses the small stream (when running).
Brambles may be a minor problem at times. All componded by the
darkness. You are looking for a lock and lock container.
