Cache is located on a fairly easy trail going to the dam overlook
at North Bend State Park.
Every year our family gathers in North Bend. Families come from FL,
NC, WV, and MI. This year I decided to introduce the rest of the
Family to geocaching by placing a reunion cache. We will be
checking this one every year, and my cousin who lives in the area
of this cache can get to it quickly if maintenance is needed.
Please sign the log book and share some thoughts with us. There are
a bunch of kids in the family and they are real excited to see who
has visited and see what they have exchanged.
In North Bend State Park on the Dam overlook trail. Trail head
is located between Cabins 1 and 8. Trail head coordinates are 39
13.446 and 81 6.047.
Cache is in an ammo box with the usuall goodies and log book
inside.
If anyone knows what the stones (see hint) are please share with
us.

October 3, 2009 by ETfoundit (1011 found) Spent the weekend in one of the nearby cabins. The hint definitely made finding the cache much easier, and then we headed off to find the dam overlook. Nicely hidden cache.

September 5, 2009 by magnum1028 (12 found) L and T of BLT down in Ellenboro visiting Moo and Tom. Last cache of the day. Only batting .500 today but did have some interesting finds. Did not find this one and suspect we did not go far enough down the trail towards the dam to find this cache. Moo and La Sara stayed on the "high" road near the massive boulders while Tirimasu wandered down to the "low" road with no luck. Wandered down the path with what we thought was a fellow cacher but turned out to be a nice muggle just looking to take a nature shot/picture of the damn. Had some problems because gps was jumping in various directions and in hindsight, bet we should have gone out of the woods more and gone closer to the actual dam. Oh well, better luck next time I suppose...[This entry was edited by magnum1028 on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 9:01:23 PM.]
