This is the fourth in a series called Feel the Burn. I am placing caches along roads that I have taken with family and friends while biking. Some will be in areas where we stopped to take a break and others will be in areas where the route nearly broke us.

FLAT TIRE -- Some time ago I talked my husband, who had only recently starting biking, into tagging along on a 25-mile ride with my bike club. He was riding a mountain bike and I was on a Trek Lime, both of which were totally inappropriate for a 25-mile road ride. In case you aren't familar, a Lime is a 3-speed automatic shifting bike that is made for a very leisurely, short ride down the block. It was at this exact point along that route that he ran over a bolt and his tire went flat. It took us quite some time to get it changed and continue on our way. If not for that random bolt along the route and the time to rest while repairing the flat, I think we both would have had to call for transportation. Even though we both have since upgraded our bikes, we have never registered for that ride again!
