How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Temporarily, this is a large prescription bottle. BYOP.

Nestled between the University of Tennessee main campus and agriculture campus on the Third Creek Greenway.

Psyprof has dual loyalty, having degrees from both Auburn and the University of Tennessee, and having taught in academic programs at the University of Tennessee. The intention of this cache is to create an Auburn presence at the University of Tennessee.

Park in the Third Creek Greenway parking spaces just next to the creek on the north side of Neyland Drive (N 35.56.629 W 083.56.112) next to the big tanks. We recommend that you do NOT park on the campus, as Parking Services are not friendly.

Cross the Third Creek pedestrian bridge alongside Neyland Drive and follow the trail. Keep children and pets out of the creek, as it is polluted.

Contents are largely Auburn memorabilia, but we also chose to start our geocoin here. The goal of the coin, as it started in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is to visit every national park in the country. It should be photographed at the park, then be hidden in a cache just outside the park for transport to another park. You can post the picture when you register the placement.

Have fun, and we hope you see the great blue heron that frequents the water.
